Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international breakthroughs into the Latin pop mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo comes from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. In interviews, he referred to music participation as mandatory. While a youngster, he played the ukulele guitar as well as piano. Although his first choice of career was becoming a vet, His brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
